Our story
Owerri is a city that builds quickly and expects the best of itself. It is the commercial capital of Imo State, a centre for trade, hospitality and celebration that has outgrown its old reputation for being merely a crossroads. And yet the hotels here had not yet caught up with the ambition of the streets.
Knockout International Hotel was built to close that gap. Not as a monument — as a place that actually works. Somewhere you can take a business call at seven in the morning, bring your mother to dinner, treat your partner on a Saturday, and still be in the same building for the event that evening. Everything under one roof, and the roof is doing rather well.
What we set out to prove was simple: that five-star service in Owerri should mean warmth, not intimidation. That a guest should be known, remembered and looked after — whether they are here for two nights or twenty.
How we grew
The beginning
Knockout International Hotel opened its doors on #224 Okigwe Road, Ama Wire — beside SaveMore Supermarket — with a simple conviction: Owerri deserved a hotel that matched the ambition of the city it was built for.
Growing upward
What started as a single address grew into three floors of rooms and suites, a rooftop that now looks across the whole of the city, and four restaurants and bars under one roof.
The full house
The hotel stopped being only a place to sleep. Kempers Night Club, Oyoko Bar, The Pool House, the gym and KIHT Beauty Spa made it a destination in its own right — somewhere people come to spend an entire day and night.
Today
Thirty-five rooms, a grand ballroom, four dining rooms, a spa, a nightclub and a 24-hour team — minutes from Imo State Secretariat and roughly thirty-five minutes from Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport. Book direct, pay by transfer, and arrive as a guest rather than a customer.
